Jing graduated as a registered nurse in 2007 and initially worked on an ENT surgical ward in Auckland City Hospital. She then spent 5 years in an intensive care unit developing her advanced nursing skills and achieving a Post-Graduate Diploma. After having children, Jing moved back into the ENT field and trained to become an ear nurse specialist.
